Week 8 Reading and Writing

So far I have really enjoyed reading about the stories from the Ramayana and Mahabharata. Before this class, I had no knowledge of any Indian epics. Learning every person's name in the epics have been difficult because there are so many, but over time it's been getting easier! My favorite reading so far is difficult to choose. I really enjoyed reading about Rama and Sita meeting for the first time, and I also really enjoyed reading about the Kurukshetra war because it was vivid and lively! My reading notes have helped me a ton when writing my stories because I tend to forget easily. Creating my portfolio has been a lot of fun. I really like creating my own website and choosing what stories I put into it, although it can be hard to choose which ones I want! At the beginning of this semester, I was worried that I wasn't going to be able to think of anything creative or make good stories, but I feel pretty proud of myself for being able to make some decent ones so far, in my opinion. Reading everyone's stories also give me good ideas. In the future, I think it would be fun to maybe intertwine other's stories with mine, or have it set in similar universes. I also want to try and incorporate more real life photos in my portfolio.
